It is with great honor and privilege that I introduce and welcome you to our school’s official website; the Sacred Heart secondary school Okhun, Ovia North East Local government Area of Edo state Nigeria. Briefly taking you through our history, the school was established in 2017 by the sisters of the Sacred Heart as a rapid response in providing an alternative center of excellence of learning to our teeming population. It was intentionally situated to close up the educational gap in our society. Part of our vision is to raise and develop our students mentally, physically and emotionally as sound leaders of tomorrow that the society will be proud of. To the glory of God, we have been able to build a durable educational facility, serene and conducive academic environment and classrooms, computer laboratory, science laboratories and a good library to aid our vision. Over the few years of its existence, the management has inspired the efforts of our loyal and dedicated teachers, our willing and ready students with an overwhelming support and cooperation of our parents’ body which have culminated in our excellent performance in the few external examination we have had so far. Here at the Sacred Heart Secondary School, we endevour dearly to provide each and every student with Superior Education in a Christian and nurturing environment. The institution has maintained its commitment to educate the whole person, spiritually, academically, socially culturally and otherwise. We are committed to values of the catholic education to teach as Jesus did, and we strive to promote an integration of Religious truth and values as we work towards building of faith community. We are determined and ready for serious business with zero tolerance for mediocrity. No half measures and excuses for none performance. We enjoin you to follow our progress on this website. Feel free to contact us to share your ideas and suggestions on the contents of our website and progress of the school. Working together as a team, let’s make this school year the best one yet. May God continue to bless you richly as you educate our leaders of tomorrow.
